Hailing from Lausanne, Switzerland, Vincent Braillard shone in his local pockebike championship from 1996 to 2000 before moving on to the French racing scene in 2001. He competed in two Grands Prix in 2002 before continuing to learn his trade in the 125cc European Championship the following two years. In 2005, he competes in his first full World Championship with the Road Racing Team Hungary.
