A rider with much potential, Andorran Eric Bataille made his first MotoGP appearances last season in the 125 category and scoring points in three of the nine races he contested. With a highest placing of 11th at Germany, and 24th position overall the 20 year old was able to demonstrate that he is a competent and capable proposition. Hard work is this youngster´s main quality and a characteristic which often makes up for his lack of experience, having only begun his racing career in regional competition two years ago. Bataille spent last season in the Spanish Championship, finishing 4th at Jarama and 6th at Albacete.
