Hailing from Lodi in Italy, Fabio Spiranelli first started racing in 2007 in his native Italy. In 2011 he joined the CIV, the Italian domestic championship, in the 80cc MiniGP class where he finished 11th. Great success came in 2013 when he claimed a pair of wins in the PreGP championship, prompting a move up to the CIV Moto3™ Championship where he ended 13th in his rookie season. In 2015 he finished fourth overall thanks to a brace of podiums. This promoted a move to the World Championship with CIP-Unicom Starker.
