Fermín Aldeguer started in the world of motorcycles when he was only two years old with the help of a miniature motorcycle he called 'la Bicha'. At the age of 6 he started competing and at nine-years-old he managed to win his first title in the Levante MiniGP 110 Cup, at the same time that he began his career in the Cuna de Campeones. Two years later he was Champion of the Levante and Murcian Regional Cup in both MiniGP 140 and MaxiGP 220 XL. In 2017 he conquered the PreMoto4 Cuna de Campeones and the Levante and Murcian Regional Cup of PreMoto4, which earned him the jump to the European Talent Cup. In his first campaign there he achieved two podiums and finished 10th overall, something that he notably improved in his second year with three more podiums, finishing 3rd, two points behind the runner-up. The natural next step, after his brief but successful career, was to make the move to Moto3™ within the FIM CEV Repsol, but a series of circumstances prevented him from doing so. The Murcian was forced to look for new alternatives and found a Yamaha to ride in the Moto2™ European Championship within the Superstock 600 subcategory. His performance blew everyone away, as he won the first 6 races and won the title in his first season in the category. A title that earned him a seat with Energica Ego Corsa with whom he will compete in the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup 2021 in the ranks of the Openbank Aspar Team alongside María Herrera. It proved a breakthrough year for the Spaniard, with a series of impressive performances earning him a chance in Moto2™ with MB Conveyors Speed Up as injury cover. A highlight P7 finish in Aragon showed his potential, and he earned a full-time seat with the side for 2022, and he continued to showcase his talent, with P4s in Australia and Valencia his best results of the year. Alongside Speed Up Racing, and after a modest start in 2023, Aldeguer would triumph at Silverstone before signing off the season in a sensational fashion. Following podium finishes in Mandalika and Phillip Island, the '54' would go on to win the last four Grand Prix races of the year, ascending to the third position in the World Championship. The Murcian rider will be one of the leading contenders for the crown in 2024.
