Kohta Nozane is a well-known name among Japanese racing fans, having claimed the All Japan J-GP2 title in 2013 and the All Japan JSB1000 Championship in 2020. Nozane also made several appearances on the World Championship stage between those two titles, on FTR and Motobi bikes before Yamaha handed him a chance in the premier class in 2017 at their home Grand Prix, but he unfortunately failed to see the chequered flag. Since his last national title, Nozane now has two full seasons in the Superbike World Championship under his belt, and 2023 sees him take on a new adventure as he links up with the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team in Moto2™.
