Qatari rider Mashel al Naimi was a full-time competitor in the Moto2™ World Championship across 2010 and 2011. He forged his career in endurance racing, riding 1000cc bikes for over ten years before becoming the first Qatari national to contest the World Championship. In 2010 al Naimi’s World Championship debut came with Blusens-STX, able to gain more experience as he rode alongside Spaniard Ricky Cardus. In his home nation for the start of the 2014 Moto2™ campaign, al Naimi contested the Qatar Grand Prix with the local QMMF team.
