Sandro Cortese’s first World Championship wins came in 2011 with Racing Team Germany, before in 2012 Cortese started his title assault in the Moto3™ Championship with Red Bull KTM Ajo, which proved to be successful, as he was crowned World Champion in Malaysia. 2013 saw the German adapt to Moto2™ with the new Dynavolt Intact GP team using Kalex machinery and he pushed for greater competitiveness in 2014, finishing inside the championship top ten and getting his first intermediate class podium. Cortese remained with the same team for the 2015 season, achieving a second podium during a wet Japanese GP. 2016 would see Cortese campaign his third season in Moto2™ with the Dynavolt Intact GP team, this time partnered by fellow German Jonas Folger. He remains with the team in 2017.
