The first Indian rider ever to compete in the World Championship, Chennai-born Sarath Kumar rides for the newly-formed WTR-Ten10 Racing collaboration in the 2011 125cc World Championship.

With the Italian WTR and Indian Ten10 set-ups joining forces for the 2011 campaign as the start of a three-year partnership, the World Championship benefits from the addition of another national champion in the shape of Kumar, who was the 165cc title winner in India in 2010. The youngster will use the 2011 campaign to build his experience of the World Championship circuits, and develop his talent on the world stage.
