Belgian Livio Loi began his racing career in 2006 in the Belgian Junior A Pocketbike Championship where he came first, before 2012 saw him contest the Red Bull Rookies Cup, where he came 11th, and the FIM CEV Repsol Championship, where he finished 18th. In 2013 he lined up for the newly formed Moto3™ arm of the Marc VDS Racing Team. He initially kept his ride for 2014 but was later replaced midseason. In 2015 he returned to the grid with RW Racing GP and took a sensational win in Indianapolis, having gambled with slick tyres on a drying track. RW and Loi continued their relationship into 2016. For 2017, the Belgian moved to Leopard Racing and took some solid results despite a broken collarbone later in the year. In 2018, he’ll line up with new entrants Reale Stylobike.
