Energica Motor Company, the Italian manufacturer of high-performing electric motorcycles, is supplying the model for the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup – the Energica Ego Corsa. But what are the facts and figures behind their exciting race bike that took the track competitively for the first time in 2019?
The Ego Corsa motorcycle has a synchronous oil-cooled motor with permanent magnets, and it allows a maximum continuous power of 110 kW (147 hp/cv) and a torque of more than 220 Nm. The Ego Corsa also has a very impressive acceleration speed, going from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds, reaching a top speed of up to 160 mph (260 km/h).

The Ego Corsa has 110 kW’s of power, which is equivalent to roughly 147 hp - around the same as the Moto2™ bikes currently produce.
The Ego Corsa has more than 220 Nm of torque, which is more than any of Supersport combustion engine is currently producing.
Charging and charging time
Energica conforms to the international standards CCS (combined charging system) and thanks to the unique onboard connector, you can recharge at the DC Fast Charge Stations and the AC Chargers. When you use the DC Fast Charge Station, the bike can charge at 20kW up to 80/85% of its state of charge (SOC) in about 20 minutes, which guarantees 120 km of range in less than half an hour.
When using the AC charger, the bike can be charged in about 3.5 hours using the 3kW OBC (On Board Charger).
