+Ego Speed Up’s Jorge Navarro just got the better of Moto2™ World Championship leader Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) in Sunday’s morning warm-up at the Grand Prix Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini. Just four-thousandths of a second separated the two Spaniards as a +Ego Speed Up edged ahead of the Kalex of Marquez for the second time in two days after Fabio Di Giannantonio stole pole yesterday.

FlexBox HP40’s Augusto Fernandez will start from the outside of the front row later today and was again third fastest this morning, just ahead of the San Marino Grand Prix polesitter Di Giannantonio. Dynavolt Intact GP’s Tom Luthi completed the top five with Australian Remy Gardner (ONEXOX TKKR SAG Team) just outside of it in sixth.
Rookie Di Giannantonio is aiming for a debut intermediate class win from the front of the grid later this afternoon and where better to do it than on home soil. Marquez still has control of the Championship but another error like the one we saw in Silverstone could blow it wide open. Catch the Moto2™ race at 12:20 local time (GMT+2).
