Quartararo tops FP4 as Yamaha dominate proceedings

It was a 1-2-3-4 for the Iwata factory in a red flag affected FP4 at the French GP

In a red-flagged affected MotoGP™ FP4 session due to Miguel Oliveira’s Red Bull KTM Tech3 machine spilling oil at Turn 7, the crucial 30-minute stint was topped by Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT). The Frenchman beat teammate Franco Morbidelli by 0.005 on his final flying lap as Maverick Viñales and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP teammate Valentino Rossi making it a full house at the top of the times for Yamaha.

Oliveira crashed at Turn 6 shortly after the riders came back out for the final 17 minutes of FP4, with Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar) crashing at Turn 9. Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) completed the top five ahead of qualifying.
