As the Qatar Test at the beginning of March edges ever closer, the MotoGP™ riders are ramping up their training in readiness for the start of the 2021 season. One of those is, of course, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Maverick Viñales, and he's been lapping on a Yamaha R1 superbike in the south of France.
The Spaniard, who finished sixth in last year’s World Championship, has been attacking the asphalt at Pôle Mécanique Alès Cévennes. Viñales posted pictures of himself on a MotoGP™-liveried superbike, as well as a Yamaha YZ85 – a motocross bike that he’s fitted supermoto wheels to for the day.
With MotoGP™ track action scarce for the time being, it’s great to see the riders dusting off the winter cobwebs ahead of the first Official Test of 2021.
