Raul Fernandez declared fit for the Dutch GP

The Trackhouse Racing rider has passed medical checks on Thursday and will race in Assen

After passing medical checks, Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse Racing) has been declared fit ahead of the Motul TT Assen. The #25 underwent arm pump surgery after the Italian GP and passed his medical test on Thursday in the Assen ahead of the doubleheader.

Taking advantage of the ‘spring break’, the Spanish rider had surgery on June 4 in Barcelona with the intention of returning in good shape ahead of this doubleheader at Assen and the Sachsenring: “It was not an easy holiday. I didn’t have a holiday as I had to recover my arm, because I had surgery and I had to prepare well for these two races. I was working a lot with physio and doctors and now I’m here. I feel lucky to be here.

“I feel comfortable so far but I have to see how my arm is once I am on the bike. I did a test last week with the road bike. It will be a bit surprise this weekend but I think this kind of track could suit our bike. I will try to do my best. On this kind of track, like Barcelona, normally are a little better.”
