Before crashing on the final lap of the Sprint, Espargaro had already suffered a fall in Practice. As a result, the #41 has made the decision to miss the remainder of the Grand Prix in the Netherlands to accelerate the recovery of a fracture in the fifth metacarpal of his right hand before all eyes turn towards next weekend's Grand Prix at the Sachsenring.
