Marc Marquez continues a clean sweep ahead of qualifying

It was a tricky start to Saturday for the MotoGP™ field, with Free Practice 2 beginning in damp conditions at the Gran Premio GoPro de Aragon. Topping the standings at the end of the session was Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) after a strong 1:49.812 benchmark to start the day. FP2 was very competitive, with the #93 stealing top honours on his final flying lap, demoting Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) to second position – 0.510s behind. The Martinator looked confident, placing ahead of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jack Miller, with the Aussie rounding out the top three.

Taking fourth after a solid morning rookie sensation, Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3), who will be forced to battle in Q1 later on. Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) was fifth, finishing in front of Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing). The South African completed nearly 15 laps across FP2, beating Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) in seventh. Meanwhile, Trackhouse Racing’s Miguel Oliveira took eighth, continuing a strong weekend – finishing as the top Aprilia.

Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse Racing) and Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ Team) claimed the final spots inside the top 10. Further back, Ducati Lenovo Team’s Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini were both outside the top 10 in FP2 as an action-packed qualifying awaits.
