Espargaro set for second HRC wildcard at Silverstone

The 2023 British GP winner will be back on track for another wildcard appearance following his outing in Jerez

For the second time in 2025, Aleix Espargaro will be taking part in a Grand Prix as he gets set for a wildcard appearance at the Tissot Grand Prix of the United Kingdom with the Honda HRC Test Team.

The 2023 British GP winner was on track at his home Grand Prix in Jerez last month, and after Takaaki Nakagami’s wildcard outing at the French GP, we’ll see a beautiful blue and red RC213V on track for the third consecutive GP when the MotoGP paddock lands at Silverstone for Round 7 of the campaign.

It comes off the back of Honda clinching their first MotoGP victory since 2023 thanks to Johann Zarco’s (LCR Honda Castrol) heroics in Le Mans, as the Japanese manufacturer continues to make solid strides forward in the development of their RC213V. The work will continue for every HRC rider at Silverstone, but especially in Espargaro’s garage at a very different type of circuit to Jerez and Le Mans.
