Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have confirmed that Pedro Acosta has undergone successful surgery on his right wrist to treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
The minor surgery comes after the #37 retired from the Dutch GP on Sunday, having experienced pain and numbness in his right hand – a problem Acosta admitted had been troubling him for over a year post-Grand Prix.

Having gone under the knife on Tuesday, Acosta is expected to be fit to race at the upcoming German GP, which takes place at the Sachsenring between the 10th and 12th of July. The Spaniard will undergo a medical check during Thursday’s media day in Germany to officially determine whether he can compete in Round 11 of the season or not.
