Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP have announced the arrival of Izan Guevara for 2027 as the Spaniard graduates from their Moto2 project, becoming the third rookie confirmed on the grid next year – so far. He’ll complete the Pramac line-up alongside Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, who remains a key part of Yamaha's long-term MotoGP project.
Guevara took the Moto3 crown in 2022 and has since impressed in Moto2, establishing himself as a consistent frontrunner in 2026 after also winning the Moto2 season finale last year. With MotoGP entering a new technical era in 2027, featuring 850cc machinery and a different tyre manufacturer, Yamaha say they believe the timing is ideal for Guevara to make the step into the premier class.
Izan Guevara: "This is a dream come true for me. Reaching MotoGP has always been my goal, and I know how difficult it is to arrive in the premier class. It has taken many years of hard work and sacrifices from a lot of people around me.
