Marquez: “It’s been a difficult week”

Marc Marquez aims to put the drama of the Malaysian GP behind him as he looks to end 2015 on a high note.

Marc Marquez has twice taken victory at the Valencia circuit, once in the Moto2™ World Championship in 2012 and again in the MotoGP™ World Championship in 2014. Aside from these victories, the Repsol Honda rider holds fond memories from the Valencia GP in 2013 when he won his first MotoGP™ World Championship title in the last race of the year. Although the 2015 title is long since gone, Marquez is ready to fight for his sixth victory of the year and make up for a disappointing DNF in Malaysia.

The Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana will not only be the last race of the 2015 season, but also the final race before significant changes are made in the MotoGP™ class in 2016. There’s little time to relax for the MotoGP™ field, as they will begin testing for 2016 on Tuesday. Both the race and test will be crucial for Marquez as he hopes to once again be involved in the title fight in 2016.

Marc Marquez: “It’s been a difficult week after what happened in Sepang but I’ve tried my best to put it behind me and concentrate on my training and looking forward to the final race of the season. We want to finish on a high note so we will work hard from Friday to get the bike setup well and give ourselves the best chance for the race. I’ve had mixed results here in the past but I enjoy racing here in front of the home fans. I hope the events of the past week can be put behind us and we can focus on the race."
