Alvaro Bautista continued to focus on the electronics setup of his Aprilia on the second day of the Sepang test.
The Spaniard also evaluated the new Michelin tyres as he completed 52 laps on Tuesday, setting a best time of 2’02.876 and improving by over a second from day one. His time was only good enough for 21st but over two hours was lost to a red flag during the day, hampering his progress.
Wednesday marks the final day of the Sepang test, with the action kicking off at 10am local time.
Alvaro Bautista: “Today we focused on the new electronics again and that is our main goal. We need to find a good base setting to work from and at the moment we still can't say that we have found one. We also analysed some new front tyre choices, finding a few improvements in some phases. We are working hard. Making progress is not simple, but we are moving forward one step at a time.”
