Baldassarri: “I have to focus on the back to improve”

Improvements in the front end leave Lorenzo Baldassarri pleased with private testing in Jerez as weather improves.

Poor conditions had forced both Forward Team riders to sit out the majority of their first private test in Jerez, but fortunately for everyone involved the sun was out during their second test on the 23rd of February. It was a positive test for Lorenzo Baldassarri as he completed 68 laps with competitive times. The young Italian’s main focus was finding a solid and steady pace on his new 2016 Kalex as well as improving front-end feel and the overall ergonomics of his bike. With the seat position improved, he was able to aggressively attack the track and ended the first day of testing on top of the timing screens with a solid 1’42.939, good enough to fight for the front row during Qualifying at the 2015 Jerez Grand Prix.

Lorenzo Baldassarri: “I'm happy with the work we have done today, finally a bit of sun came out and we started to improve our lap times. This morning we fixed the bike a little in order for me to have a more comfortable seat, now I have a good feeling on the front but I have to focus on the back to improve.”
