Team Suzuki Ecstar rider and Qatar’s top rookie Alex Rins has been diagnosed with a small fracture in the talus bone in his ankle, following a motocross training accident on Thursday.

The team at the Hospital Universitari Dexeus lead by Dr Xavier Mir, part of the MotoGP™ Traumatology Unit, examined the injury and will not perform surgery - Rins will instead receive physiotherapy and magnetotherapy ahead of traveling to Argentina for round two.
