Nakarin Atiratphuvapat (Honda Team Asia) topped the timesheets in a wet Moto3™ FP1 at the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana, the Thai rider looking strong as he ended the opening session of the weekend 0.352 quicker than second place Marco Bezzecchi (Redox PruestelGP).

Third place was Andrea Migno (Angel Nieto Team Moto3), 0.441 back from Atiratphuvapat, with Tony Arbolino (Marinelli Snipers Team) and Raul Fernandez (Angel Nieto Team Moto3) completing the top five on a tricky Circuit Ricardo Tormo circuit.
Turn 12 seemed to be the most treacherous corner during the session as it caught out five riders in total: Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing), Vicente Perez (Reale Avintia Academy 77), Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Darryn Binder, Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) and John McPhee (CIP – Green Power) all crashed – riders ok.
FP2 for the lightweight class begins at 13:10 local time (GMT +1).
