Bezzecchi leads all-Italian top five in wet Warm Up

KTM rider over half a second faster at the top with Bastianini and Dalla Porta P2 and P3 ahead of the final lightweight class race of 2018

Marco Bezzecchi (Redox PruestelGP) was the only rider to get into the 1:50 bracket in Moto3™ Warm Up at the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana as he topped the final Sunday morning lightweight class session of the year. The Italian heading compatriots Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing) and his teammate Lorenzo Dalla Porta by 0.544 and 0.669 respectively as the Italians dominated proceedings in the wet conditions.

Pole man Tony Arbolino (Marinelli Snipers Team) was fourth fastest, 0.862 off Bezzecchi, with Fabio Di Giannantonio (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) completing an all-Italian top five in Warm Up. Can the latter grab P2 in the Championship off Bezzecchi on Sunday?

Tatsuki Suzuki (SIC58 Squadra Corse), Albert Arenas (Angel Nieto Team), Ayumu Sasaki (Petronas Sprinta Racing), Vicente Perez (Reale Avintia Academy 77), Alonso Lopez (Estrella Galicia 0,0) – who looked to suffer a shoulder injury – and Nakarin Atiratphuvapat (Honda Team Asia) all crashed during the session.

The wet weather looks set to stay, so who can master the difficult conditions and take the final honours of the season? Find out when the lightweight class go racing for the last time in 2018 at 11:00 local time (GMT +1).
