Lorenzo: "I had a very interesting trip to Japan"

The five-time World Champion described his trip to HRC's headquarters as "intensive and productive" ahead of his home Grand Prix

Repsol Honda Team’s Jorge Lorenzo is raring to go at his home round of the MotoGP™ World Championship, the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya, this weekend after having a “very interesting” visit to HRC’s headquarters in Asaka, Japan.

In a social media post, Lorenzo described the days in Japan as “intensive and productive” as he looks to bounce back from a challenging start to life with Honda at his home Grand Prix.

“After a mixed weekend in Mugello, I am hoping that we can do good work this weekend in Barcelona,” said the six-time Catalan GP winner. “We will keep working at our maximum to close the gap to the front. We also have a test after the race, which I am looking forward to as well."

Lorenzo was joined at the HRC headquarters by test rider Stefan Bradl, who is helping aid the development process of the RC213V, as the five-time World Champion continues to adapt during his first year with the Repsol Honda squad.

“I had a very interesting trip to Japan and we were able to work on many things, some which will help this weekend and some for the future.”
