The premier class' sole rookie, Augusto Fernandez has very much impressed on track during his debut campaign. A regular points scorer, with a P4 in France his best result, has looked at home in the premier class, and he will continue his MotoGP™ journey through to 2024 after GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 confirmed him as part of their 2024 rider lineup alongside Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo)

1. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and skiing. His love for sports doesn't end there, as he's a huge football fan, supporting both Real Madrid and RCD Mallorca
2. It’s little surprise then that the athlete he would trade places with for a day is Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo. And in the world of F1, Fernandez roots for Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz.
3. As a MotoGP™ rider, Fernandez has some idols of his own. His dream coaching ticket includes eight-time World Champion Marc Marquez as his personal coach.
4. If he could pick the perfect teammate from history, it would be Australian Legend Casey Stoner.
5. Fernandez also dreams of riding at Laguna Seca one day, while he would love to have a crack at a classic two-stroke 500cc machine that ruled the circuits in a previous era.
6. From the current calendar, the TT Circuit Assen is his favourite circuit to race at.
7. He counts teammate Pol Espargaro as his biggest rival in the paddock.
8. When he's not on the track or training, Fernandez likes to relax and listen to R&B, Soul and Hip-Hop music, with "Lose Yourself" by Eminem his favourite song.
9. Fernandez isn’t the only famous sportsperson to come from his island home, and if given the chance, he would love to meet fellow Mallorcan Rafa Nadal in person, while he also lists the tennis star as one of his biggest inspirations in life.
10. When he's not following a strict athlete's diet, Fernandez craves a big plate of pasta with any sauce or pizza. Indeed, pizza, sushi, and hamburgers are his go-to cheat meals. And he has a sweet tooth for anything with chocolate.
