Brilliance at Brno: Siegert holds firm in Round 4

At the home of iconic moments and unforgettable battles: Siegert wins his sixth consecutive race and cements a place in Brno history!

Siegert’s momentum rolls into Czechia

Round 4 of the Moto4 Northern Cup saw the riders leave their mark at yet another historic venue – the CREDITAS Autodrom Brno! Robin Siegert (Kiefer Racing) came out of the blocks quickest, qualifying on pole position before impressing in Race 1 – adding another win to his incredible tally. Anina Urlass (MASS SPORTS Racing by JRP Motosport) kept the #11 honest, clinching second position after finishing a mere 0.739s behind. Jaylen Korporaal (Jaylen Korporaal Racing) completed the podium following a superb start in Czechia!

Siegert made the perfect start, holding track position on the run to Turn 1 as Korporaal and Danny Hinkelmann (Hinkelmann DH 14 Racing) chased behind. Meanwhile, it was a solid start from Urlass, who began to climb her way up the order after the #21 was forced to start at the back of the grid due to a technical infringement disqualification in qualifying. Urlass was on the attack – entering the points after some frantic opening laps.

Roman Durdis (FS12 Racing Team) got his elbows out in the opening lap, entering the podium fight as he traded blows with Thias Wenzel (Team NSA). Siegert stretched his lead at the front, with only Urlass able to match the relentless pace before the #21 entered the podium conversation on Lap 6. The Czech fans were also given plenty to cheer about, with Adam Vyskocil (AV79 Racing Team), Viktor Cech (ZC Racing S.R.O) and Durdis putting on a show at home.

Urlass turned up the wick in the closing laps, setting the fastest lap of Race 1 and reducing Siegert’s lead in the process. There was plenty to enjoy throughout the order as Hinkelmann, Durdis, Wenzel and Cech continued their scrap for best of the rest honours in P4. From three seconds to less than two seconds: a grandstand finish was building… Tension reached a boiling point on the final lap, with Siegert fending off Urlass at the line as less than one second separated the pair.

Whilst it was Siegert who wrote the headlines on Saturday, Urlass’ pace was unmatched, setting up a Hollywood blockbuster on Sunday. Korporaal rounded out the top three, with Wenzel grabbing fourth – holding off Durdis as the home rider finished inside the top five. Hinkelmann took sixth, beating Cech after an epic final lap scrap, while Swan Emprin (SWAN96) could only watch in P8. Vyskocil was ninth on Saturday, with Smilla Göttlich (Team Freudenberg – PALIGO Racing) earning the final spot inside the top 10. Sunday’s fight was on!

0.067s: Siegert fends off Urlass on Sunday

Siegert stamped his authority on Sunday, clinching his sixth Moto4 Northern Cup race win in a row. The #11 kept his cool following an all-action battle with Anina Urlass, who once again created headlines from the back of the grid – this time missing out by just 0.067s. It was solid points for the #21, who finished ahead of Roman Durdis, with the Czech rider standing on his home podium on a special day.

Although Siegert started from pole once more, the #11 couldn’t hold his advantage on the run to Turn 1 as Danny Hinkelmann claimed the lead. Siegert would strike at Turn 3, whilst there was drama behind as Louis Wolff (Kiefer Racing) ran through the gravel – suffering early drama – eventually rejoining the race. Further back, Urlass entered the points on Lap 2, while a huge lead group went to battle at the front.

All eyes remained on the timing screens, with laps ticking down and Urlass continuing to edge towards the front. The #21 moved inside the top 10 on Lap 4, looking to go one better following an impressive late race pace in Race 1. Meanwhile, Durdis and Hinkelmann had their turn in P1 with an eight-rider group growing to nine as Urlass joined the fight – setting the fastest lap in the process.

It was blink and you miss it stuff, with a modern Northern Cup classic beginning to form in the final five laps. Swan Emprin impressed too, returning to form on Sunday as he entered the podium picture for the first time this weekend. Urlass stamped her authority on Lap 10, entering the race lead – igniting the fight for victory. Siegert had little time to respond, launching his last attack at Turn 13 on the final lap.

Siegert was left with a 0.067s winning margin, continuing his impressive streak to make it six wins in a row in 2026. The #11 extended his Championship advantage, beating Urlass and stopping a perfect end to the #21’s weekend. Durdis celebrated an emotional home podium in third, beating Emprin, who finished ahead of Wenzel after the #17 exceeded track limits on the final lap. Hinkelmann took sixth, with Jaylen Korporaal and Casper Pennings (MASS SPORTS Racing by JRP Motosport) completing the top eight. Viktor Cech and Zenno Bulte (Zenno58) clinched the final spots inside the top 10 after a brilliant end to Sunday.

With a 54-point hold in the Championship, Siegert turns his attention to Round 5 of the season as he looks to continue his streak. The Sachsenring is next up, see you in July!
