Marc Marquez handed post-race Dutch TT penalty

The eight-time World Champion has received a 16-second tyre pressure penalty for Sunday's race

Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) has been handed a 16-second tyre pressure penalty for Sunday's race at the Motul TT Assen.

The eight-time World Champion took a P4 finish following an intriguing battle with Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team), Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing), however, the post-race penalty drops the #93 to P10 in the results.

This means Marquez's points haul from Sunday's race at the Cathedral of Speed drops from 13 to six, as he aims to claw back some valuable points on both Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) at next weekend's German GP before the summer break.
