The MotoGP™ field took to track for Free Practice 2 at the Gran Premio Red Bull di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, with Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) topping the timesheets after a great start to Saturday. The Italian set a 1:31.237, and heads into qualifying ahead of Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), with the #1 sitting 0.095s behind. Meanwhile, third-place honours went the way of Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing), who took third position – continuing to look competitive in Misano.

Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) had a dramatic start to the day, suffering from a technical issue in the early stages before ending FP2 in fourth place. The Beast was ahead of compatriot Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing), with the #21 securing the final spot in the top five. Morbidelli placed ahead of Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), who pushed throughout the session, finishing in P6 and suffering from a small crash at Turn 1. The #44 was ahead of Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) and Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3), in another strong session for the rookie.

The final spots inside the top 10 went the way of Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) and Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing), with the #41 ending the session as the top Aprilia. Further back, Aprilia Racing’s Maverick Viñales was 16th with work to do. Furthermore, it would be a disappointing end to the weekend for Joan Mir (Repsol Honda Team), who withdrew from the San Marino GP.
