The award-winning MotoGP™ eSport Championship is back for its ninth season as it continues to pit the fastest gamers in the world together as they vie to become the 2025 champion!
The format of 2025 has been tweaked from previous editions. Four Online Challenges will whittle the competition down to a Draft of 30 names, with 15 coming from Europe, and 15 from the Rest of the World.
From that Draft, each MotoGP™ team has the chance to choose a gamer to represent them in the glitzy Global Series, a three-round shootout, where 11 finalists for 11 different teams will battle to become the 2025 MotoGP™ eSport Champion!
New for this year, details of the first Online Challenge (circuit and rider) will be decided by votes on the MotoGP™ eSport social media channels. There MotoGP™ eSport fans can choose whether they want to ride around the Circuit of the Americas, the Chang International Circuit, Pertamina Mandalika Circuit or Phillip Island for Online Challenge #1. Whether Ai Ogura, Johann Zarco, Fabio Di Giannantonio or Jack Miller is the designated rider will also be decided by vote.
And it’s worth signing up for a chance of stardom: each gamer that posts a single lap in each Online Challenge will be entered into a draw to win tickets for certain MotoGP™ races through the 2025 season!
Of the three Global Series rounds, the first two will be virtual events, where gamers will compete from home. As was the case in 2024, the third and final round will be held live and in person at Milan Games Week in November, where the the historic Italian city will witness the crowning of this year’s MotoGP™ eSport Champion at an exceptional gaming event.
Last year’s Global Series witnessed one of the great eSport performances of recent times. Trailing Italian danielealoè26 by 24 points coming into the final round, the UK’s Jack Hammer4658 was flawless in the finale, winning all three races to retain the crown he won in 2023. Now a double World Champion, he must start this campaign as the name to beat.
