Hello Tokyo! MotoGP™ takes to the stage in Shinjuku

Fans + world champions + home heroes = the perfect combination

The MotoGP paddock has arrived in Japan and arrived in style. A host of MotoGP riders descended on a fan stage in Shinjuku on Wednesday afternoon to say hello to the crowd and get the Japanese GP in gear – not least of all Marc Marquez as the Ducati Lenovo Team rider faces down his first championship point this weekend in Motegi.

He was joined by reigning Champion Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing), 2024 Motegi polesitter Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), Honda HRC Castrol's Joan Mir, rookie Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), Alex Rins (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP), Enea Bastianini (Red Bull KTM Tech3), Somkiat Chantra (Idemitsu LCR Honda) and 2022 Motegi winner Jack Miller (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) – as well as, of course, the home heroes – at the event, which saw the riders take to the stage in central Tokyo.

Both Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) and Honda development rider Takaaki Nakagami got an incredible reception from the crowd, as did Ayumu Sasaki (Idrofoglia RW Racing GP), Ryusei Yamanaka (FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSI), Yuki Kunii (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) and Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia) as they get ready to race on legendary home turf at Motegi.
