Brazil’s star: Moreira reveals his 2026 race number

Ahead of the Valencia Test, newly crowned Moto2 World Champion Diogo Moreira has announced that he will use #11 for his MotoGP debut

2026: A new season, a new challenge for MotoGP’s latest rookie, Diogo Moreira! The Brazilian is just one of the hot topics ahead of Tuesday’s Valencia Test as he prepares to join LCR Honda for 2026. After plenty of speculation, Moreira has now revealed on social media what number he will use next season.

The newly crowned Moto2 World Champion will change to #11 for his rookie MotoGP season, switching from his usual #10. The change comes as he moves up to the premier class, where Luca Marini (Honda HRC Castrol) already uses the Brazilian’s previous number.

It marks an exciting point in Moreira’s career as he prepares to move to the premier class, just two days after wrapping up the Moto2 title in Valencia. Moreira also has a trip to Goiânia to look forward to in 2026 as MotoGP returns to Brazil for the first time since 2004!

Moreira isn’t the only rider changing race number in 2026. Toprak Razgatlioglu is also set to announce his race number for next season, while Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing) returns to #89 after spending one season using #1. It’s building to be an incredible year, beginning at the Valencia Test on Tuesday – don’t miss a moment of the action!
