Jorge Martin declared fit to ride at the Buriram Test

The 2024 World Champion will get his first taste of track action in 2026 in Thailand this weekend

It has been a brutal 12 months on the injury front for Jorge Martin, but the Aprilia rider finally looks ready to return to full strength. The reigning 2024 World Champion has been declared fit for this weekend’s Buriram Test, meaning we’ll see the Spaniard on the RS-GP for the first time this year.

Martin missed the Sepang Test while recovering from surgery on his left scaphoid and right collarbone. Both procedures were carried out in December as part of his rehabilitation from injuries that sidelined him for most of the 2025 campaign.

Now fully fit, the #89 is set to return to action in Thailand just one week before the season opener. It will mark only his second on-track appearance since the 2025 San Marino GP, the other coming at last year’s season finale in Valencia and the subsequent Test.

The Buriram Test gets underway on Saturday, and you can stay up to date with all the action on motogp.com!
