Global electric vehicle company Vmoto (ASX: VMT) has today announced an exciting new partnership with MotoGP, bringing three special‑edition MotoGP electric scooters to fans around the world.
Under a worldwide agreement with MotoGP’s commercial rights holder, MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group, Vmoto will design, produce and distribute three unique scooter models inspired by the world’s leading motorcycle racing championship. The scooters will be available globally through Vmoto’s existing international distributor network.
MotoGP is the premier motorcycle racing championship in the world, with a global fanbase of millions and a reputation for speed, innovation and cutting‑edge engineering. This new collaboration will give fans the opportunity to connect with the sport in a completely new way - through everyday electric mobility.
The limited‑edition scooters will feature official MotoGP branding and styling, combining Vmoto’s advanced electric technology with the spirit and performance DNA of the championship.
As part of the agreement, Vmoto will play an active role across MotoGP’s global events and platforms, including showcasing vehicles at selected races across Europe, introducing fast‑charging and battery‑swapping technology at key locations, and creating global marketing campaigns using official MotoGP content.
The collaboration reflects both organisations’ commitment to innovation and sustainability, as MotoGP continues to evolve its environmental approach and Vmoto expands its leadership in electric mobility.
The launch of the three MotoGP will significantly increase Vmoto’s global brand visibility via the global appeal of MotoGP, while introducing new audiences to electric mobility. At the same time, it strengthens MotoGP’s connection with fans beyond the circuit, bringing the energy of the sport into everyday life.
Vmoto Managing Director Charles Chen said: “This is a landmark agreement for Vmoto and we are very proud that MotoGP, the highest class of motorcycle road racing championship, associate its brand with Vmoto’s two-wheel electric vehicles. The deal will allow MotoGP’s significant fanbase to have the opportunity to access electric mobility supplied by Vmoto and allow Vmoto to significantly raise Vmoto’s brand and product awareness, and drive sales growth for the Company.”
President of Strategy & Business Development Graziano Milone added: “This partnership represents a fundamental strategic step for Vmoto. MotoGP has recognized not only the quality of our products, but above all the vision we are bringing to the market: an integrated ecosystem in which vehicles, charging infrastructure, and operational management work as a single system.
With EMS, we have built something unique at a global level, which today finds concrete application even in high-intensity environments such as race weekends, where efficiency and operational continuity make a difference.
We are particularly enthusiastic to share MotoGP’s strong and concrete focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility, a commitment that is becoming increasingly central to the development of the championship and strongly aligned with Vmoto’s direction.
At the same time, the collaboration on the promotion of special edition models represents an extremely powerful commercial development lever, capable of accelerating the growth of our brands at an international level.
Thanks to this partnership, we will be able to further strengthen our presence in the markets where we already operate and open new opportunities in areas where MotoGP is already present or may expand in the future, amplifying the visibility and commercial potential of both brands.”
Borja de Altolaguirre, Head of Sponsorship at MotoGP, added: “This partnership with Vmoto is an exciting opportunity to bring MotoGP closer to fans around the world in a new and accessible way. It combines performance, innovation and sustainability - values that are central to the future of our sport - and allows fans to engage with MotoGP beyond the track.”
The MotoGP Edition scooters will be available globally starting from the 2026 season, with further details on models and markets to be announced in due course.
