On Wednesday, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) underwent a successful endoscopic fasciotomy surgery on his right forearm. The operation took place in Italy and was successful, with the Italian now taking advantage of the summer break and aiming to return to action at the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Great Britain from August 7th to 9th.
The operation was performed by a medical team led by Professor Luigi Tarallo and directed by Professor Fabio Catani at the Orthopaedic Clinic of the Policlinico di Modena. There were no complications, as Bagnaia now begins his scheduled recovery and rehabilitation process.
The #63 sits P8 in the standings following the first half of the season, with the highlights being four consecutive Sunday podiums and the Czech GP Sprint win. Remaining just 65 points adrift in the World Championship, Bagnaia looks to carry his momentum into the final 11 rounds.
Speedy recovery, Pecco!
