MotoGP and unpredictability are two things which go hand in hand. 2026 has been no different, with seven riders already adding their names to the winners’ circle this year. That’s the same number of riders who stood on the top step in 2025 – and we’re only 12 rounds in! 2026 so far!
Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) started the season in style, becoming our first winner of 2026 after winning the opening three rounds. It wasn’t until Jerez that we saw another name rise to the top as Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) returned to winning ways on home soil. Current World Championship leader Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing) was next up, bagging 25 points after a dramatic visit to Le Mans.
The following round, Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) prevailed at the Catalan GP in what was a rollercoaster weekend for the Italian. After an impressive showing from Bez in Italy, Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) added his name to the list at Balaton Park – winning his first of three races in the first half of 2026.
Ai Ogura’s (SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team) memorable maiden win arrived at Assen before it was his teammate Raul Fernandez’ (SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team) turn at Silverstone. Fernandez became our seventh winner of the season, a fitting milestone with the number seven being synonymous with the British GP. Fernandez also became the 12th winner in the last 12 editions of the British GP, creating further history.

Heading to Aragon, Martin maintains a 31-point advantage in the World Championship, holding the biggest points lead of any rider this season (so far). It continues to be a record-breaking year, and with 10 rounds remaining – who’s next on the winners list?
There are plenty of names to throw into the hat, including Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), who is looking for a fairytale end to his chapter in orange. Elsewhere, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), a race winner last year, will be looking to return to winning ways. Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) will be one to watch once he returns too, proving you can’t predict what’s next in MotoGP!
