Ogura targets Austrian GP return

The Japanese rider is set to return to action at the Red Bull Ring, pending a medical review on Thursday

The SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team has confirmed that Ai Ogura will travel to Austria, with the aim of racing this weekend. Ogura will undergo a mandatory medical review on Thursday, and if given the green light, the #79 will return to action for the first time since Silverstone.

Ogura suffered a left-hand injury whilst training in Japan last month, undergoing surgery on a fracture which is close to his left thumb. The #79 was forced to miss the last two rounds of the World Championship, forcing Ogura to watch from the sidelines and continue his recovery away from the paddock.

He sits P6 in the Championship standings ahead of the Austrian GP, remaining 71 points behind the Championship leader.

See you soon, Ai!
