Runner-up in the European Supermoto Championship of 2013, Kofler then switched to circuit racing and participated in the Northern European Cup in 2016 before competing in the European Talent Cup the following year. 2018 would prove to be an important step in his career when he debuted in the Junior Moto3™ World Championship with KRP Racing. However, he had already had the chance to make his World Championship debut in 2017, enjoying a wildcard at his home Grand Prix in Austria. He would wildcard at the Red Bull Ring in 2018 and 2019 as well. In 2019, he was also able to participate in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Throughout 2019, he also competed in the Junior Moto3™ World Championship with the Aspar Junior Team. In 2020, he stepped up to the World Championship full-time with CIP Green Power and remains with the same outfit for 2021.
