Andrea Migno joined the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and the CEV in 2011 having ridden in the Honda 125GP Trophy in Italy the previous year. He continued riding in Spain in Moto3™ and in the 2014 FIM CEV Repsol he rode for the VR46 Academy project led by Valentino Rossi. Running at the front on a Kalex-KTM he came to the attention of Mahindra, who brought him into the World Championship to replace Arthur Sissis in Moto3™ for the second half of the season. In 2015 Migno represented SKY Racing Team VR46 again, this time in the World Championship on a KTM. He remained in the all Italian SKY Racing Team VR46 for 2016 and stayed with the squad in 2017, taking a sensational first win at home at Mugello. In 2018 Migno then moved to the re-named Angel Nieto Team (formerly Aspar), and took a podium in Le Mans as part of a 1-2 for the team. In 2019 he moved to Bester Capital Dubai, where there were two podiums. He returned to the VR46 academy in 2020 but couldn’t quite reach the podium. 2021 saw him partner up with Filip Salac at the Rivacold Snipers Team and three podiums, the best of which came at the Algarve GP, saw him finish inside the Championship top 10 for the first time since 2017. The Italian remains on Honda machinery for 2022 and will be aiming to end his victory drought.
