Son of former 500cc World Championship rider Niall Mackenzie, Taylor Mackenzie makes his World Championship debut proper in the 125 class in 2011, riding for Fiorenzo Caponera’s Phonica Racing team.

Taylor rode two wildcard entries in 2010, at Silverstone and Valencia, in a busy season prior to his full World Championship bow in 2011. During 2010 the Stirling-born youngster finished the British 125 championship in fourth position, competed in two CEV Buckler (Spanish National Championship) rounds and also rode in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in which he scored five top-ten finishes. He now aims to carry the experience amassed into the World Championship, having signed a two-year deal with Caponera’s World Wide Group.
