Born in Alanya, Toprak Razgatlioglu first made waves in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, earning his place following an impressive junior career. His first win arrived in 2014 at the Sachsenring, the same year he made his European Superstock 600 debut – winning on his very first attempt. The following year, he clinched the Superstock 600 title before jumping to 1000cc machinery. His adaptation to a bigger bike was fast, finishing as the European Superstock 1000 runner-up in 2017 – catching the attention of the WorldSBK paddock. He made an immediate impact, scoring two podiums in his rookie season before grabbing two wins the following year. A move to Yamaha led to his first WorldSBK title in 2021, before back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2022 and 2023. Then arrived the switch to BMW for the start of a dominant run, becoming the 2024 and 2025 WorldSBK Champion! Toprak Razgatlioglu heads into 2026 as the reigning WorldSBK Champion and finds himself back with Yamaha for a debut campaign in MotoGP. It’ll be a new look for Razgatlioglu, with the #54 occupied on the grid, 'El Turco' will sport a lucky #7 to try and make his mark in the paddock from the off.
