Fresh from the Austrian GP, there was more track action at the Red Bull Ring on Monday. The Moto2™ and Moto3™ classes conducted a private test, with a number of big names from each category out on circuit.
In the intermediate class, Aron Canet (Fantic Racing) took top spot. A 1:33.608 from the Spaniard saw him take testing honours ahead of Somkiat Chantra (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) by 0.117s, with Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) rounding out the top three.
P1 went the way of Angel Piqueras in the lightweight class, with the Leopard Racing rider recording a 1:40.181. The #36 was 0.068s quicker than David Almanasa (Rivacold Snipers Team), with Piqueras’ teammate Adrian Fernandez ensuring both Leopard Hondas were in the top three times of the day.
