Kenan Sofuoglu makes his full World Championship debut in Moto2 in 2011 with the Technomag-CIP team, but the Turkish rider is already well known on the GP scene thanks to his exploits in the final two races of the 2010 season.

Sofuoglu stepped into the French-based team for the Estoril and Valencia rounds, and led the race in Portugal before finishing fifth on his GP debut. At Valencia he was battling at the front before a crash ended his participation, and his displays led to a number of offers within the paddock for 2011. He opted to remain with Alain Bronec’s team, and in 2011 great things will be expected from the two-time WSS champion as he takes on the Moto2 class.
