Storia del pilota

Bradley Smith debuted in the 125 World Championship in 2006, before battling for that title in 2009. Moving up to Moto2™ in 2011, the Brit took podium finishes in his first season in the intermediate class and remained with the Tech 3 team the following season. Then moving up into the premier class Monster Yamaha Tech 3 outfit for 2013, Smith took his first MotoGP™ podium in Phillip Island in 2014 – and then took another in Misano in 2015 as he was also top Independent Team rider. 2016 was more challenging and the Brit then suffered a crash in practice for the Oschersleben 8H ahead of the British GP, sidelining him for three races and meaning he needed two surgeries on his knee. Back for the last races of the year, Smith had a solid comeback with good hauls of points before saying goodbye to the Tech 3 team as he moved to new squad Red Bull KTM Factory Racing for 2017. After a more difficult start to the season, Smith gained some serious traction by the year’s end, including taking his first top ten with the team. For 2018, the Brit remained with the team and was a consistent point-scorer, as well as taking another top ten in Valencia. For 2019 he became Aprilia Racing Team Gresini test rider in MotoGP™, as well as competing in MotoE™ with One Energy Racing. Four MotoE™ rostrums saw Smith narrowly miss out on the title as he finished runner-up to Matteo Ferrari, while he also competed in four MotoGP™ races and a Moto2™ race at Silverstone with Petronas Sprinta Racing – the Brit showing his incredible versatility. Smith will continue his Aprilia test and One Energy Racing duties in 2020, as he eyes the MotoE™ crown.
