After the FIM MotoGP Stewards suspended Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) from the Czech GP, the Aprilia Racing team appealed the decision to the FIM Appeal Stewards.
On Saturday night the Appeal Stewards confirmed they upheld the original decision made by the FIM MotoGP Stewards, and the penalty would stand.
There was one final option for the Aprilia Racing team to take: escalating the appeal to the CAI.
Overnight from Saturday to Sunday Brno time, it was confirmed they would not do so, and the penalty stands – so Bezzecchi will not race in the Czech GP.
