Morbidelli and Moreira handed three-place grid penalties for German Grand Prix

The Italian was penalised for riding slow on line in Practice and will face a three-place drop from his qualifying position for Sunday’s race

Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Diogo Moreira (Pro Honda LCR) have been handed three-place grid penalties for Sunday’s Liqui Moly Grand Prix of Germany after riding slow on line during MotoGP’s Friday afternoon Practice session at the Sachsenring.

Morbidelli’s is a second offence, while Moreira’s is a first offence. However, because the Brazilian’s penalty came in the final few minutes of Practice, when every rider is chasing their fastest times of the session, the Brazilian also receives a three-place drop for Sunday’s Grand Prix.
