Marc Marquez declared unfit for Dutch GP

The eight-time World Champion won’t be racing on Sunday at The Cathedral due to a fracture in his rib

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) has been declared unfit for Sunday’s Grand Prix race at the Motul TT Assen due to a rib fracture.

The eight-time World Champion suffered injuries to his ankle, left thumb and ribs in his Warm Up crash at the German GP, which was his fifth of the weekend. However, after being declared fit for Assen, Marquez has aggravated his rib injury further, meaning he will sit out the remainder of the Dutch GP.

Hopefully we’ll see Marquez back fully fit for the British GP which takes place at the start of August.
