It was a dramatic 30 minutes for the MotoGP™ grid as the riders took to track for the final time ahead of qualifying at the Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland. Heading the field was Miguel Oliveira (Trackhouse Racing), who is having a super weekend at the Sachsenring and placed ahead of Prima Pramac Racing’s Jorge Martin. The #89 was 0.231s behind Oliveira as the pace starts to heat up on Saturday. Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) only completed six laps during Free Practice 2, leaping to P3 in the timesheets.

Behind, Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) finished in fourth after an eventful session, suffering a crash at Turn 1 in the final five minutes. Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) rounded out the top five ahead of the second Trackhouse Racing RS-GP of Raul Fernandez in P6. The Spaniard was in front of Ducati Lenovo Team’s Enea Bastianini in seventh and Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) in eighth.
Further back, Alex Marquez took ninth (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) after setting a 1:21.051 to finish ahead of rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3), who rounded out the top 10. Meanwhile, both Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team riders were back on track with Fabio Di Giannantonio placing 15th and Marco Bezzecchi heading into qualifying in 19th.
