Let's talk about six: Sprint winners already match 2023 record

Still eight opportunities for the premier class grid to clinch a gold medal on a Saturday afternoon with 16 riders hoping to be the historic seventh

12 rounds are now completed in 2024 and we've already matched the number of Tissot Sprint winners from 2023 after a hugely dramatic opening two-thirds to this blockbuster campaign. Six stars clinched gold last year, but how many will be able to do it this year?

Jorge Martin continues to be the Sprint King after dominating the format last year, but we also saw the likes of World Champion Pecco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi, Alex Marquez, Brad Binder and Aleix Espagraro take top honours on a Saturday afternoon.

This time around, Martin, Bagnaia and Espargaro have once again found success on a Saturday, with Enea Bastianini, Maverick Viñales and Marc Marquez also joining the club.

The question now is who could make it a magnificent seven before the year closes out? KTM are desperate for something to cheer about following a lacklustre 2024 so far, can either Brad Binder or Pedro Acosta take top honours for the Austrians?

Maybe Alex Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi can rediscover their form of last year, or the likes of Fabio Di Giannatonio and Franco Morbidelli can take their chance for Ducati?
